I find it easier just to stream live TV from my server at home (which can be accessed over the Internet as well when I'm away).

According to the site, the CF one is out now...it's the SDIO that hasn't been released yet.

Cf Tv
I've had the CF version for about a year and it works great in Lexington, KY.

The only disadvantage is the size of the CF card because it uses 4 AAA batteries. It performs beautifully and I believe it gives a true VGA picture, unlike the SD version which is only like 180 X 240 pixels and has a remote battery pack (read the spec sheet)...

What streaming software do you use? Slingbox? Orb?

I can tell you that the engineers were a little (a lot?) lazy.
Quote:
Note: NOT compatible with SECAM (France), PAL-M/N (South America, Brazil)
...
Note: The SDIO TV cannot output audio via the speaker of the Pocket PC.
I wonder if the ones who made TCPMP will allow the card to be used as an input. Oh, I also wonder if the card has a DSP or if it relies on the CPU for that. Would there be problems with implementing high bitrate MPEG decoding on a xscale?

I've just bought the CF version ($80 on Ebay) and it works a treat. Picture is great on VGA screen.

I didn't even know that there was a tv tuner out that would work on our Axims - I am definitely going to have to get one.

can then pick up hd signals or just regular tv signals?

Just regular signals, I think. Also, reception indoors is not as good as out.

It's likely limited to 480p. Not that anything greater will have any advantage, since the screen is only 480p.
