What is the best, trouble free SD card for x50v?
I am planning on buying an SD card for my Axim x50v, but after I got burned on a faulty SanDisk 1 Gb SD card, I wanted to ask you guys which cards worked for you.

Just wondering, how did you get "burned"? They've got a 5 year warranty on them (from their website). Shouldn't they just replace it? Stuff happens...

SanDisk said that the card was faulty
I got a 1 Gb SD card from the Dell site when I purchased the PDA. But I could not read from, write to, or format the card using both my PDA and laptop. I called the Sandisk reps, they said that the card was faulty and I need to return it to Dell. And did just that! I then got a PNY 64 Mb SD card for $5 just to try it out and so far it has been working without problems. I heard many rumors that SD cards equal or bigger than 1GB are nothing but a headache. On the other hand, 512 Mb cards are just too small for me.

Using two 1GB SD SanDisk memory cards and also two 1GB CF, SanDisk again, memory cards.

No problems to date, almost a year combined use.

Go for warranty replacements from SanDisk!

I use Lexar and Kingston SD's and CF's both are fine and have never given me any trouble - so I would recommend them as alternatives to SanDisk.

I've been using a SanDisk Ultra II 1GB card for close to a year now in my x50v. Never had an issue or problem of any sort. I just recently purchased a 2GB PNY CF on a Black Friday sale. Haven't had any issues with either card. Just wished I had gotten a faster CF card (this was a standard one).

I've been using a SanDisk 512 card for over a year - no problems (keeping fingers crossed now...). You guys are making me want to go to the 1GB card!

I sure don't know about SanDisk's warrantee if that's where you got burned but I've got 4 of their cards, 2 SD's and 2 CF's and have been using them for over a year without any problems. I would buy them again unless you have a good reason not too! Ha Ha!
