x51v Case that supports a EXT battery

I plan on getting a Dell. My first HP may possibly be my last. After an extreamly delayed WM5 that I may possibly never see. My EXT battery not keeping its capacity, ROM update fenzy issues and my 4700 Nav Pad going dead I think I need to move on.

So I plan to get the x51v when the next sale/coupons comes around. Seems I missed the X-Mas speacials. :(

Then I wanted to get this battery. Unless anyone know of higher capcity. :D

Does anyone know of a case that support this setup? I really want to protect the Screen from impact.
I do plan to get a screen protector from proporta. :approve:

I purchased a Sena case for my X51v and 2200mah battery. The website says this case supports the larger battery also.

I had Piel Frama cases for my X5 and I loved them. The only reason I went with the Sena with my new X51v was that it is magnetic and not snap closure.

The Sena case may not look it, but it's one heck of a good case. The only caveat is that the earjack openning is not big enough, so it rubs against the jack when you open and close it - resulting in a premature wear of the actual jack itself.

I wouldnt think that it would as it is much bigger than the 2200.

Why do you need such a large battery anyhow? The 2200 lasts a LONG time even with Wifi and Bluetooth on. Plus there are some cases like the Sena and Piel Frama made for it that support it :approve:

But if you do get the 3300, i believe you will need to go with a universal case. As none are form fitted to it yet. It really is HUGE.

Hello! Check out the RHINOSKIN aluminum hard case.
Link: http://www.saunders-usa.com/rhinoski...d=34&model=192

I have an x51v with the Dell 2200mah extended battery and the RHINOSKIN case fits very well and really protects the Axim.

I've had MUGEN extended batteries before (for an Axim x30) and they were the same size (or slightly smaller) than the comporable Dell battery.
...Mugen are excellent batteries by the way!

You may luck-out and find the the Mugen battery is the same size as the Dell extended battery?
...it may be worth calling or emailing them before you buy

IF necessary (you may not have to), the RHINOSKIN aluminum hard case has a little padding behind the battery area. You may be able to remove a little of the padding behind the battery and give yourself an extra 1-2mm of clearance for an even larger battery??

Cheers & Welcome!

I guess I can go with this setup. http://www.aximcases.com/store/aximx50.html

It comes with a nice case and a 2200mah battery.

Just a thought/question.

How long does the 2200mah Battery last for you guys? I am usually from the home quite a bit and dont always have a chance to charge. :)

I don't know of any cases that will support that battery. I have a 2200 for 16 bucks from global-batteries.com. It even fits the case that with the Axim. It is a lot of bang for the buck. Mine lasted 7 hours and 16 min of non-stop video with brightness maxed out and vol maxed out.

Good luck.
