need sd blank filler for x51v
I loss my blank sd filler, afraid to leave open may collect dust,afraid to leave sd card may drain batt.

Cant find a part number online at dell site

Rob, hit on Radio Shack for an SD cleaner, couple of bucks.
Comes with a card, filler card, to fill the slot!

just leave it open, wont hurt a thing. there have been a zillion threads about this and pretty much all came to the same conclusion- it isnt a problem! that little piece of plastic wont keep dust out anyway.

why not just put a cheap sd card in there if you are worried - small 32-64 meg cards are plentiful

I have my SD card and my CF card in 24 X 7! I also have my Bluetooth on 24 X 7... I don't have any problem with the battery draining.

On that subject, a spare battery is fairly cheap!

I don't believe there is a noticable battery drain from leaving a memory card (or 2) in your Axim. I have a CF & SD in my Axim all the time.
You actually might have more of a drain from putting it in and out all the time (from having to perform the refreshes?).

I leave my 1GB (CF and SD) cards in all the time. I don’t see any difference from my X5. So my two cents is leave them in……

yeah, my cards are in all the time too. batt drain only occurs when using wifi and playing pdamill games.
