Piel Frama Leather Case
Does anyone have the piel frama leather case from aximcases.com? I'm thinking of ordering the red one, but I would like to hear from others who have used it, good or bad!

Thanks
Wendy

I have the Tan & Black one that allows for the extended capacity battery and I love it. I have had Sena in the past but the look and feel of the Piel Frama is much more to my liking. I think you couldn't go wrong if you bought it.

I'm just the opposite. I have the same piel frama case but I like the Sena better.

The Sena is sleeker and I like the design. The piel frama is bulkier but quite possibly gives more protection. I haven't done any drop tests though.

Hi! Im from Spain, very near where Piel Frama has their manufactufer place. I can tell you that Ive the black piel case for my 51v and its perfect!! The quality of the case and the materials is very high. The piel used is from Ubrique who is the most famous place in Spain beacuse the best quality of their leather.
Their manufacture of the case is full hand made

Here I let you a link. Some friends went to the factory months ago and made this view.

I also have the P F black and tan for extended battery. Absolutely gorgeous, soft soft leather. My only complaint is the bolt that attaches the belt clip is a bit short and allows the clip to rub the case. I called P F on it to see if they make a longer bolt. They don't unfortunately. Nevertheless, I recommend the case totally.

I have the Piel as well in black. It's the one that allows the extended battery. There is a bit of slop when you have the standard battery, but not too bad. It's really well made with high quality leather. I've received a lot of compliments on the leather and craftsmanship. It's just like a high end wallet... especially since I can place my spare SD cards and other ID and bank cards in it.

I've also dropped it twice, about waist high on pavement... the Axim is well protected. Pretty spendy, but I think the value is there with the quality and craftsmanship.

I have the TAN version to use with extended battery and it offers great protection.

I loved the Piel Frama case I had on X5. That was untill the belt clip failed and I lost my X5. I wonder if the person who found my X5 and never returned it also appreciated the high quality hand sewn leather?

Sorry to hear about that. How did the belt clip fail?

Piel Frama Saved My Axim
I recently went shopping with the wife and baby. New baby I might add. So I've been a little verklempt in life lately. Say that three times fast. Anyway, I went to pull the stroller out of the back of our Volvo S40 and put the Axim on the ledge under the rear window that is formed when you open the trunk all the way. Basically, its the hinge part of the trunk. I then pulled out the stroller and forgot about the Axim.

I CLOSED THE TRUNK LID ON THE AXIM! Not once, not twice, but three times. Each time I tried to close it, I thought "That's odd... nothings in the way......" and then suddenly with a huge "OH SH*T" feeling I opened the trunk again and looked and there was the axim in the hinge. Everytime I closed it, half of it was in the trunk space under the lid and half out. And I had been slamming the lid hard. I'm a tall, robust fellow. I wasn't shy about closing the lid. I grabbed, just knowing that when I opened it, shards of glass and plastic would spill out.

I unsnapped the case and there the old girl was, perfectly sound. No scratches, no breaks, not even a little lose in the casing. Between the ABS inserts in the back of the Piel Frama case, the credit cards in the front lids and the thick leather, it had protected my Axim perfectly.

Best damn 60 bucks I had ever spent. And that includes the 60 bucks in drinks I had to feed my wife before she agreed to marry me.
