Using BT headset with my Axim x51v
Hi,

I use my new x51v since a week now and I love my new PDA

I want to use my BT headset with it, to listen to music or transmit sound while watching video BUT, unless I install successfully my BT headset on my PDA, I didn't find how to "switch" sound to my headset

As well, I would like to listen to the TomTom navigator informations in my headset.

How should I proceed?
My Headset is in my BT peripheral list

thanks for support

I have an X50v and here are my BT headset issues so far... maybe I can help you with my post and someone may be able to help me with some of my problems.

My axim came with Windows 2003 SE, which has all of the bluetooth profiles built in. In other words, you could tell the axim that the peripheral was a headset. I put the headset in discover mode and it will "see" the headset and set it up correctly. Once it has connected, just hit the button on the headset and it will transfer the sound over. I listen to MP3s on mine all day at work.

Now for the problems with this setup...
If you power off the PDA, you have to start from scratch with the headset. In other words, if you disconnect the headset IN ANY WAY, such as hit the button on the headset, the olny way to get it to work with the PDA again is to pull the battery out of the headset, delete the profile for the headset in the PDA, then rediscover and connect it. And that only works in 2003SE because the profiles are built in.

I ordered and loaded WM5. Now, there is no Bluetooth manager and no built in profiles. The PDA sees the headset, but can't associate any services with it. The headset is useless (for me at this point) in WM5. Unless someone finds a way to make this work, anyone with WM5 (X50v upgraded or the X51v standard) can't use a BT headset. Unless the headset is sophisticated enough to "broadcast" that it is a headset at discovery.

If anyone has any ideas on this stuff, any help would be greatly appreciated. And hopefully, someone can help Dave get his to work too.
