Axim x51V newbie here, need accessorization! (is that a word?)
OK-I just purchased a new axim x51v, and as this is my first ever PDA, I really need some advice on what accessories to purchase.

I think I would like:
An aluminum case
An AC charger
A set of screen protectors

How much can I expect to pay for each of these? I have found those 3 on ebay for relatively cheap (around $20 for all three?) but am not sure about their quality. Where is a good place to buy these? What brands should I look for? Please help in any way! It's greatly appreciated!

Cases.com has a discount for Aximsite members.

I use Writeshields screen protectors myself but boxwave and brando protectors are well respected among members here as well.

Most proper voltage AC adapters will work so an extra power dongle seems like a better choice as an item on your journey of accessorization.

If that's not a word it should be.

I just went through this process myself. Here is what is on my shopping list.

1) Case - bought the Sena one (cases.com w/ coupon)
2) Screen protector - got the boxwave crystal (cases.com w/ coupon)
3) Stylus replacement with pen (boxwave.com)
4) Mobile charging bundle (boxwave.com)
5) CF micro drive - 8gb seagate from Amazon

I have tons of SD cards coming from a long line of Palms but you probably want a 1-2GB sd card if you don't have one. If you want to load up on programs you are going to want to use an SD card rather than a microdrive for those. I also already have a bluetooth keyboard that I hope works with my x51v. You might want one of those as well.

In the end I spent almost as much on accessories as I did on the PDA itself. From my experience this is always the case. A long time ago, I would get things as I needed them. Now I just buy everything I need right up front. This is because you don't want to wait till you need a case, screen protector, expansion card or travel sync cable because, by then, it it bcomes inconvenient to wait (or disasterious in the case of a screen protector).

Great word! Should be in everybody's vocabulary!
Think of the file cabinets and desk drawers filled with "accessorization" stuff!

All right FamilyGuy!

Envy. Even with X50 High, X50v, thinking I should "downgrade" again.

Girlfriend "borrowed" the X50 High, I downgraded to the X50v 'cause she was "reluctant" to return the Ax.

Now, thinking, being a "Family Guy", why not let the girlfriend's daughter "borrow" the X50 High from Mom, I can let Mom "borrow" the X50v, then with empty paws "downgrade" to the X51!

What a devious, but workable plan!

Don't we just love these "Family Guy" toys, I mean tools!

Naturally, will have to "downgrade" and get another GPS 'cause
we "need" it!

Definately sounds like an option Tankman.
I love handing down electronics to wife and kids so I can upgrade.

I'd vote for that being a word - like it a lot.
