Belkin Snap on Keyboard for X50/51
I have been wanting a snap on keyboard for my Axim X50 for a long time. I notice that Dell does sell one of Belkin Snapon for the Axim X50.

My question is this. Most of the time I use the big 2200 battery pack and at the look at the pickure of it with the Dell in it that it would not fit.

I was wondering if anyone is using this keyboard and if so how do they like it and would it work with the big battery pack in back of the dell?

Thank You
Paul

Belkin SnapnType for x50/x51

I have one and it works well. There is a cut out on the back that should allow for an extended battery. I use a standard battery and the keyboard covers the battery door latch but nothing else above it.

I sure can. It not the easy trying to find these items on Dells Web site. Here is the link Belkin Snap on Keyboard

Got a question for callmemoe.. callmemoe how do you like using the snap on keyboard? Do you find it easy to use or is it hard to type with? How close are the keys together?

I had a Dell snap on keyboard for my Axim X5 and found that it was very hard to use because the keys are so close together. But looking at the picture of the Belkins one it looks like twice the size of the Dell and maybe a lot easier to use. How do you like it over all?

The keys are actually spaced very well. I haven't had any problems with hitting the correct key when typing. The spacing between the keys at the middle, where the buttons are closest together, is about two-thirds the length of the black tip on your stylus. However, the key presses are firm compared to other thumb boards I have tried. Not enough that I miss them but they are firm.

What I do like is that there are navigation keys that you can use to move between fields or around a note or Word document and there is also a place at the bottom to plug in a charger if you need it so that you can keep using the keyboard. The start button also comes in handy.

It is a pretty good little keyboard, but I definitely don't recommend it for anything lengthy or complicated. However, for quick emails or for entering appointments on the go, it works very well.
