Arrow Alpinetop.com cases mini-review

Hello Everybody,

A couple of weeks ago I ordered a few cases, screen protectors, and a 4-in-1 car charger for my X51V from Alpinetop.com. Here is a link to the page:
http://www.alpinetop.com/c/20000962/...cessories.html

The leather flip case I was a little worried about. It has a "U" shaped holder for the Axim with no top piece to hold it. My Rhinoskin case for the X5 is leather all over with cutouts for the screen and keys. The Alpinetop case has just the "U" shaped holder. After putting the handheld in it though I was surprised how well it held. Of course, once the cover is closed the Axim isn't going anywhere. It has a megnetic clasp which I like better than the snap clasp on my older case. The belt clip is pretty standard. Overall, I like the case very much.

The aluminum case is very similiar to the Rhinoskin case I have the X5. It has the neoprene lining to cushion the Axim and little tabs to help keep it in place. Very nice quality over all. I did not like the belt clip with it though. The clip part is fine, but the aluminum peg is too tight and pinches in the clip. It doesn't spin freely. Luckily, the leather case came with two pegs and put the spare on this case.

I see myself using the leather case mainly, but with how cheap they where I decided to buy both.

The screen protectors are pretty stardard. Peel back the one layer, squeegee is on with the provided piece of cardboard, and peel off the outer layer. If all goes well there will not be any bubbles. My first on I ruined trying to get the bubbles out, my second I went slower and all is well.

The car charger I haven't tried yet, but seems to fine quality wise.

With how cheap this site is I was expecting the cases to be much rougher. That was not the case (oops, a pun slipped in there). Based on my experience I would recommend this site to anyone. Too bad they didn't have the cheap $13 batteries, I would added that on there as well.

Thanks for sharing. The 4 in 1 kit looks pretty nice. I'm thinking of getting one. How much is the shipping?

I was expecting shipping to be high, but with USPS Priority it wasn't bad. The downside is it takes two weeks to get to me.

I have the same flip top case I bought from there. I wanted a nice case that is easily removed. Well this one holds the axim in tight it won't drop out but just enough to easily remove it as well. The locking mechanism is a magnetic button that snaps on securely, very nice touch. The stiching is very high quality imo. The leather is very nice quality, and the case is fairly slim, stylish and expensive looking and it puts my leather wallet to shame. :p For $9 this is one of the best cases you can get for your axim. The only major flaw is that it does not protect the top left and right corners since there are openings for the headphone jack and stylus. And also the U shaped part can cover your screen by 2mm(which I'm thinking of sanding away).
