USB charge and sync at the same time - An idea
I want to be able to sync and charge at the same time via the USB without using the cradle. Will the following solution work?

1. Get the official Dell travel sync and charge cable (the one with a separate port for AC).

2. Get a USB power cable
http://www.semsons.com/usbpocaudc.html

3. Plug the USB power cable into the AC port of the Dell sync cable. Then plug both USB ends into the PC.

In short, we use one USB to sync and another one to charge.

I believe this should work.

However, I can only find a USB power cable from Semsons for the X5 only. Anyone knows if X5 and X51v have the same AC socket?

Most USB sync/charge cable are not able to do both at the same time simply because the x51v requires more power than the USB can supply. There are already a lot of discussions on this issue in this forum. To use one of these cable to charge the PDA, you will need to turn it off.
