Seidio G4500S -- should it charge?
I recently purchased a Seidio G4500S car mount for my X51v. I use it with their cable to connect a Pharos iGPS-180 "mouse" GPS for use with Mapopolis on the Axim. The day I got this, I'm pretty sure it all worked fine.

It has been a week or so and I just went to use it again and noticed several issues:

1. The GPS is completely flakey. It goes from being seen to being dead over and over again. It's like it isn't getting powered all the time.

2. Most importantly: my Axim isn't CHARGING when in the G4500S cradle. In fact, it continues to lose battery. Should it charge when it in the cradle? I assume it should at least be powered by it and NOT lose battery -- but should it charge also? Note that when I put it in there, the center power button DOES turn orange as I would expect -- but the battery never goes to charging! Can someone with this confirm that their X51v goes to "charging" status on the power/battery screen?

3. If the unit shuts off due to non-use (after 3 minutes, for example), I sometimes can't turn it back on unless I remove it from the cradle! The power button doesn't do anything. I pull it from the cradle and it turns on fine -- and then I can drop it back into the cradle just fine.

So -- I'm hoping that some people with this (or a similar) mount can confirm that theirs works fine with their X51v before I contact Seidio about a possible replacement.

Thanks!
