if you want longest possible battery life try the 3300MAH battery. its big and lasts long(theres a thread on it somewhere in this forum the poster did various test think he got around 6hrs or so with everything on high playing video) otherwise im sure the 2200mah would net you a nice boost

or you could try the standard battery saving tricks-brightness down, wifi/bt off unless in use, power saving mode on the processor.

There's also an 1800mAh one by Mugen that offers more capacity in the same physical size (more or less) than the standard battery, meaning you wouldn't need to purchase a case for extended batteries. (There is at present no case that will fit the 3300.) There's a review of the 1800 battery in the reviews section.

o_O i'm surprised no one has made note to external battery sources.

i would strongly suggest considering getting an external power source, such as the pelican power brick. you can search these forums for information and a review and such.

the important thing is, this product will cost you about $20 at your local radio shack, whereas they will want to charge you atleast $80 for the 3300mah battery.

also look at AA battery packs for it. if you don't mind dishing out the cash, you can even get a socket power pack for the axim. this would get you a considerable boost in juice from even the 3300mah battery.

As per your question regarding how long the batteries last, I did an experiment w/my x50v. I started w/100% power and ran a video w/regular screen brightness until the battery went down to 25%. This took 2 hrs 22 min. Expect the 2200mAh battery, that's double the size of your standard battery, to last twice as long, and the 3300mAh battery to go triple time. With that said, I read Gigi's review and ordered the 1800.
