i am sharing my experience on using this stupid power brick bought from local radio shack (smaller version ).
12th/Feb
-- got the frist one, doesn't work

13th/Feb
-- Exchange another one, still not working

14th/Feb
-- Exchange another one, FINALLY WORK! Thx GOD

15th/Feb
-- It starts burning, smelling and i can see the smoke.

I am going to return and ask for refund.

Interesting since there has been quite a discussion on this site in another thread about not buying the larger size from Radio Shack but get the smaller square on since it works! I was just about to get one but maybe not. Think I will just get another battery. Sorry for your experience but glad for the information.

Evidently many people are having issues with this device. Not just on
the Axim as well. The guys at the local Radio Shack said they returned
all the ones they had in stock due to returns, and GameStop has "delisted"
the item from thier inventory (means the stores can't order them). It sounded like a neat thing but give the issue list...
