Finally Found a Great Armband for the X50!

...wanted to post as a new thread, so everyone knows it is no longer a question but an answer

I've looked everywhere online and in stores, and I was the one above that jerry rigged a camera case and tennis elbow strap..and with the armbands coming out for the nano's it made mine look like an armband from the 50's. I actually found the new armband at Target last night...for 7.99, it's made by Walking Shop by Sportline. They call it a Neoprene Mp3 holder with reflective armband. It looks great and works perfect. It streches when you flex for comfort unlike what I was using, not only does it stretch but is also adjustable for huge or scrony folks. It comes in black or red. The velcro is strong and should not come undone during workout like most armbands for the Ipods. It wouldn't fit with a case on the axim too well but you could try it. I trust my X50v in this armband. It would not be fun to take the axim in and out of the case while working out, so set your playlist on repeat and leave it. It's a unviersal case for mp3 players but in my opinion was made for the axim x50. I was on my way to buy the 1gb nano and armband tommorow because of the lack of armbands to fit the axim, but not now! :approve:

Hope this helps everyone who would like to workout with your axim, with out having to buy an additional mp3 player.

I also made a great workout log spreadsheet to use during my workout, which you can't do with most mp3 players.

No, it's comfortable! Not a bulky feel to it at all, the flex to the band really helps to feel less noticed; looks much more slim line than what i was previously using. The case is also mostly neoprene, which will keep it from rubbing iritation after a lot of movement. Probably not much different feeling than the 30gb, 60gb ipods and armbands!

Thanks for this! I've been looking everywhere for just such a case and here it is. Target is not the only retailer selling this item by the way. I found one for 9.99 at Amazon just now. You can bet your sweet PDA I'll be taking out my credit card in a few minutes.

I also saw an interesting armpouch for cell phones and PDAs from cellphoneaccessories.com but this is a vendor on Yahoo and I just wasn't sure I wanted to go this route as far as internet security is concerned.

And there is another case that has a mylar window in the front so you could still use your pda while it's in it. I'm not sure the axim would fit inside however since the axim 51v anyway is 4.7 by 2.9 by .7 inches. That 2.9 could be a problem. The case is only 2.6 inches, according to amazon. If someone has tried this case or seen a similar transparent front armband, please let us know...

Not to Jack this Thread, but i will anyways! For good reason of course!
I found what i think is a better Armband for the axim X50/X51.
Got it from here: Uxcell price $4.99, Sporty Armband Holder Case for PDA Cell Phone
Takes about 2 weeks delivery but it is very good quality!
Had it for a week now and its great. Because of the clear screen i can still control it and that was one of the biggest things i wanted to be able to do.
