BoxWave ClearTouch Frustration

Hello Guys,

I've been using the ClearTouch screen protector for about 1 year and have never had any problems. Give my past record of success I ordered 3 Clear Touch screen protectors from Boxwave this week.

When I went to install the Clear Touch, I found out that they have added a small sticker on the front of the protectors that says "Remove this plastic backing in advance". When I remove this sticker, it leave a horrible stick smudge on the top right corner of my screen. I tried to rinse it off with water and it didn't work. I tried a bit of soap as well and that was unsuccessful. Finally, I tried a second screen protecter and had the same problem with the smudge. I tried to remove this as slowly as possible, however, it still left the residue.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so
1. How did you remove the smudge?
2. What has BoxWave's remedy been for this problem.

This seems like a small problem, but when I paid $30+ dollars for screen protectors that leave a smudge on the front of my screen, I'm a bit dissapointed. Thanks in advance for your help guys!

There are several products on the market that will remove the residue from stickers. Most are made from citrus. The one I use is called Goo Gone. I would not put anything like this directly on your Ax, rather put it on a cloth.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll be gone all day.

Lift the sticker along with a thin plastic layer that covers the screen protector. That sticker is not on the protector itself. There are two layers of thin plastic covering the screen protector one on front and one on back. That's how it was on my protector and I got it like a week ago. One sticker says "remove this plastic backing in advance" and the other side says "remove me".

Victory516, Thank you very much! I emailed BoxWave and recieved the same set of instructions. I guess there is another layer to remove (2 layers in total). Appreciate your help!
