x50v: If I get the Sena case for use with an extended battery, how well will it work with a standard battery?

don't plan on it unless you use the extended battery door.
Otherwise it is a great case. I have had some problims with the case streatching so then the axim slides down, this was solved by putting a peice of double face tape.

You can, but you will need to put some sort of filler inside the battery door to prevent the battery from falling out of is place. A small piece of soft foam works fine.
