The Perfect PDA
Ok guys, I love my x51v, but I wish for some enhancements that would be added to a newer Axim.
First: at least 4 to 6gb of storage space for video and mp3's, second a larger factory installed battery and last, a decent 2 or 3 megapix intergrated camera.

I know alot of people are going to pocket pc phones, but I hope that HTC or someone comes up with a device like this.

How about you guys, what are you wishing for?

yup yup yup
I agree, as I think anyone would, that the x51v should have more useable features than it does.

However, I recommend the Seagte 8GB CFII card. $150 on amazon. Grab that and you hae 8GB in your Axim, and let me tell you, that is amazing!

I truly wish that ActiveSync could connect over wifi. Also supporting 802.11g would be nice. Even Pre-n.

Bluetooth usefullness would also be good.

Overall though I am pleased

Personally, I could go for the 4-8g flash storage and larger battery for a PDA/MP3 player. I'm excited I could plug 2g into my Axim and use it now. With the Axim x51v and my Samsung a920 phone (excellent phone btw, added a 512m trans flash card for MP3 storage and 1.3 megapixel camer) I'm pretty set. I do regret not getting the bigger battery for my Axim though.

I turned away from the Treo and it's like because it's just too much. I don't want all my portable devices wrapped up in one thing that does none of it well.

Stable version of WM5. Internal 30 Gig of storage, plus SD slot. Optional slidout keyboard and a version of handwriting recognition that works properly.

The average joe does not use a PPC, because writing on paper is faster. Solve that (along with WM5 bugs), and the market will grow.

How has the large microdrive affected your battery? And yes more storage would be MUCH nicer.

I just really would like all these features already bundled into one device without all the add-on's The Ipod has a 30 to 60 gb drive why can't they just throw one of those drives into a PDA. Then you would have an excellent "Video Ipod ,MP3 Player" with the addition of windows mobile.
