It was designed very slightly too small (1mm). Just file down half a mm of the plastic on each side at the corner and it'll fit perfectly.

So is it just the adaptor connector that is too big? Do other cables fit?

aw crap! why didn't i know this earlier...my magnum case is being shipped to me know

i'll be pissed if teh adapter doesn't fit

I had to file down the sides of the adapter by about 1-2mm , just above the push-tabs, to get it to fit. Didn't have to do that with the separate power adapter which I use in the car with the GPS. It's not a big deal; takes 10 minutes wth a file or sharp knife. The case is superb and I wouldn't let a simple thing like this stop you or anyone from buying it. You'll love it.

Six of one, half dozen of the other.

I use the Belkin Travel Charger/Sync Cable (Dell remarkets it) and it fits without modification. Before I got the Belkin, I did modify the standard Dell apapter so that it would fit. A couple of minutes with a fine file was all it took. It does not make sense to modify the case; standard engineering practice is to modify the least expensive part.

Dell connector requires ~1mm or less each side to be filed and it fits. Don't file down the case!

My 3rd party extra dongle from pc-mobile fits w/o mod or filing. Go figure.
