must haves?
Just bought my Axim x51V from Dell ($340 w/2year warranty & complete care) and its crawling its way through UPS to get to me. I got it bare and will supplment accesories on ebay. Are there any recommendations for must have accessories?
I've already ordered a second battery and theinvisibleshield. I'm leaning towards the Innopocket Magnum Case, any thoughts? Is the presenter cable and software worthwhile? I'm mainly looking to show some Powerpoints occaisionally when I don't feel like lugging my laptop around. I'm also looking at the Dell Cabled GPS system. Or should I go 3rd party? I've read a lot ont his site already and have some good ideas, but I don't want to miss out on anything i'll need before I start buying some fun toys. Thanks

Welcome aboard whosegeo. I bought mine for the gps and found tons of other uses for it. I like Pocket Informant, flexwallet and all in texas hold 'em by bird soft, along w/tomtom navigator.

First off, welcome to Aximsite!

I too chose theinvisibleshield for my screen protection needs. I love mine. I hope you like yours as well.

I have heard that the Innopocket is a good product. I wouldn't know. I don't own one. I personally went with the Rhinoskin. It was definitely one of the best purchases I made for my X50v.

I would honestly go 3rd party on your GPS solution. There are much better devices out there. Do lots and lots of research on here before going with a particular solution.

On the software front, I would highly recommend Pocket Informant for your calendar solution. I would definitely buy Pocket Breeze. I would also recommend SPB Pocket Plus as well.

That should be enough to keep you busy for a while. Once again, congrats on your purchase and welcome aboard.

Dont forget a good backup program! Sprite or SPB will be faster and more versatile than the one provided with activesync. Also a utility like memmaid or SKtools.

As for hardware, I love the Thinkoutside (or Dell Branded) BT keyboard and mouse. For your presentations, I would think the mouse would be indispensable. If you have to chose between them, get the mouse. Finally a travel charger. Make sure to get one that can both sync and charge at the same time. Have fun and to aximsite.

All good "stuff" above but, add a backup program.

I believe Sprite Backup is now WM5, great program.

Backup, backup, BACKUP!

Get the Think Outside Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse!
I have several cases and my favorite by far is the InnoPocket magnum! I think you can still get a discount through this site.
