Three models are commonly available:
1. Socket Communcications 10/100 Ethernet CF card
Works great and has official WM5 support, but new ones are pretty expensive; sometimes are they are sold cheaply on Ebay.

2. Socket Communications Low-Power Ethernet CF card
Trade-off between speed and power consumption, so 10Mbps only. Offical WM5 driver but again new ones are pretty expensive.

3. Trendnet/Hawking etc. 10/100 Ethernet CF card
These are four brands of CF that are actually the identical. No official WM5 drivers but works with some treaks; it is very reasonably priced on Amazon.
If you get one of these, do not use the official driver either from the producters' websites or include diskette; they won't install on WM5 and is extremely slow if you copy the files manually. Use the driver available here.

I think I get it, but perhaps I don't.

Plug a small wireless router, like Netgear's travel router into the existing router, presto, wireless.

I carry the Netgear travel router on trips an hook up the ethernet cable, whole room, balcony, poolside, X50v is online, wirelessly!

This little guy is 'bout the size of a deck of cards! Here you go http://www.netgear.com/products/details/WGR101.php.
