I had recently bought an Axim X51v and now I have an extended battery. I now need a new case. I want a hard case that will protect it. I'm also maybe thinking I don't want aluminum. I want one that will be metal

I have a Rhinoskin. Sure, it's aluminum but I still really like it. I'd highly recommend it.

u need 2 b carfull of ebay cases..
i got an aluminium 1 from ebay for 15$+ship and whan i got it i had
2 modifie it for 2h with stick electric tape and a pair of pliers
so it won scratch my pda and close stright... (the only good thing it have
is 2 sd store slots and not 1 like the other standart ones)

i gess pda casing is as importent as jet motors that they use titanium
but if u get 1 u know ur casing can hold up to 1300c temp

I ordered a PDAir Black aluminum case and I'm getting it tomorrow. I will tell you how that turns out.

I have a Piel Frama leather case that I love. cases.com
It will handle the extra life battery, has storage for 2 sd cards, my credit cards and such.

rhino skin is great, i think i saw somewhere (on dell) a new on for the extended batt., though it is aluminum.
mine has taken a beating but did it's job, i recommend the rhino skin.

I tried the aluminium, but liked the Innopocket (MobilePlanet, $29.95) best because the cover when opened can be folded/flipped completely behind the unit out of the way. Also like the finish & color of the case. Don't know if extended battery case is an option. Drawbacks are (a) only one SD storage slot, (b) no CF storage slot, and (c) lanyard slot not accessible, BUT "would still choose" over aluminum. I would like to see one SD & CF storage slot, even if on the lid (outside). The Axim fits very snug, so careful when removing to synch.
