A nice project for your Axim movie watching pleasure!
I use a cheap book-end, drill 2 holes, install 2 screws..Voila!
Works great for landscape/portrait!
Note: Leave enough room on the bottom, in case you need to connect the power connector and don't forget to wrap the screws with some electric tape or rubber tube to protect your Axim

Very nice job! Are the book-ends available in different colors? :approve:
I have red, orange and black ones in my office. I think I got them through a library supply catalog. The office supply shops have them in black. Someplace like the Container Store may have more designer varieties.
Very cool idea. Congratulations;) Cheap and easy to make!

Very cool project;)
I have one question... Are You not afraid of scraching your PDA? As i see from Your images, the holder is made of steel...
I normally have my Senacase on and as you can see, the screws have black rubber wrapped around. (I cut use some rubber tube.., but you can use electric tape too!). Tape the edges of the bookcase for your furniture protection too!

Excellent idea: I used before a small chinese mini vase stand, but it had no room for the connector at the bottom.
And yes indeed, , another brilliant idea: a separate Forum for DIY topics (Richard is listening in, I hope)
