wired headset possible?
i am pretty sure i remember reading that the headphone jack on the x51v is not standard, and can be used for wired headsets. is this possible? is there a place i can get a converter to use my existing cell phone headsets with my axim?

i already bought a standard 1/8" to 1/16" converter and it works fine for listening to music, but does not make the mic usable. am i just crazy? thanks for any advice. i truly don't see the purpose in paying so much more for bluetooth headsets when wired headsets are still an option.

You can get either specialized headsets or an adapter. Both Seidio and Pc-mobile make adapters.

Here's a review on a couple of them:

I bought a headset for the qtek 9000. I just cut off the headphones and soldered on a 3.5mm jack. Now I can use m own headphones, the mic and I use the button as a wired remote for tcpmp..

Well a standard 1/8" stereo jack works just fine. I have used several "wired" headphones on my x51v.

Yes, regular headphones work fine, but we are talking about audio in as well. This requires a special headset or an adapter.
