Screen/Protector?
Am still a virgin in the Axim PDA realms of existence and as such I have a beginners question.

I bought a cheap M3 screen protector for my new Axim x51 after a week of normal use the glad wrap sheet disguised as a screen protector was all scratched up, so I decide to pull it off and replace it with a new one.

As I started to peel the protector of the screen, it unveiled an already existing protector or at least I think it is unless it’s a part of the screen, it’s a lot thicker then the Brando ultra-clear and not as flexible, it’s roughly as thick as the pull away discardable side of the brando.

Question is does dell ship its PDA’s with existing screen protectors or is this thick sheet on the screen an essential part of the screen and the screen protector sits on top of it?

There is a shipping screen protector, but i don't think it was ever intended to be "written" on. it was just intended as a shipping protector.

For regular use a "screen protector" you will get as many opinions as there are members to this site.

Go to the "Search" command on the navigation bar and enter "protectors" and you will see a boatload of opinions to read.

Good Luck and Good Hunting.

If you're looking for a good screen protector, I would like to recommend theinvisibleshield. They're only $13.95 with free shipping and free lifetime replacements should you ever need one. I've had mine for a few months now and I really like it. Good luck in your search!

I have used the same Cleartouch Crystal from Boxwave and would recommend it. It has lasted for a year and still looks good...

I would like to get the “theinvisibleshield” I registered and tried to make an order however shipping to Germany according to what was declared by the UPS shipping calculations I would have to pay 53 dollars for shipping alone and that is the cheapest option.

Strange that it cost so much, I buy a lot of stuff from around the world and this just doesn’t make sense unless the package is really heavy..oh well

Anyway I am still concerned over the plastic sheet, I have a feeling it wasn’t supposed to peel off when it did.

Thanks for the replies and advice I might go for the Cleartouch Crystal thing if shipping is not overly expensive.
