Major Microdrive Problems
So I format my Seagate ST1 in either my x50v (WM5) or my card reader as FAT32. I copy my music to it with my card reader, and it's fine.
A little while later (a day, a couple days, i don't really know), I can't access any of the files on my microdrive anymore. I look in the directory and all I see is a WMDRM folder and an unaccessable 3 byte file (it's called "t" this time).
chkdsk -> "bad links in lost chain at cluster xxxxxxxxxx corrected." (a whole list of those)
-> "lost chain cross-linked at cluster xxxxxxxxxx. orphan truncated"
i convert lost chain to files. and then chkdsk f: /f
-> the 3 byte file is gone, but i still can't access my prior music.
I then format and the cycle restarts
What the heck is going on!??? I've been through this cycle countless times already, and the microdrive works fine by itself in the card reader without any problems...(that's why i posted it in this forum, because i think the x50v is doing something to it, i just don't know what)
Please help.
