Do you have a case that you just don't use anymore?
i bought the Magnum case to go with my Axim before i actually got the device because i wanted to protect my investment. for the first 3 months, i never have thought of removing the case for any reasons, and it has saved my life the first and only time i dropped it getting out of the car. it calms me down a bit passing it around showing it off to my friends.

... but it is now the 6th month and unless im off to an adventure, my Axim stays bare and alone in my front left pants pocket. it just feels sOoo much more comfortable, and less intrusive, and lighter, and slimmer this way. it doesnt slip off the Arkon mount now and the case flap doesnt swing open and close anymore. i can set it in the cradle on my desk now, with SPB Time lit in my face... with the SPB AirIslands screensaver... or a photo slideshow that i can see...

This is an excellent thread and probably could extend to all accessories ..

I am just waiting for my X51v to be delivered, and like you am looking for a protective case and other accessories!

However, I had the X50v for some 10 months and it stayed in a leather flip case which did add some bulk and flapped loose when used as car sat nav but .... meant that even after quite heavy use it still looked fantastic and meant high second hand value.

However No2, I recently had an Ipaq 4150 which is even slimmer and I used that in its naked form and boy did it make it easier and more comfortable to use. I also had a Tomtom car cradle specifically for the 4150 which was great ... no messing about with wires, no flapping covers etc.

Of all the things I have used/tried etc with various PDA's the best thing has been the 'dedicated' car holder rather than those horrible bulky messy things.

So this time I may just buy a slim leather case for occasional use

I also dont think i will bother with the spare battery or stylus as I never ever required it.

Sometimes these things are never quite as useful as idea may seem.

My X50v very rarely leaves its Rhinoskin. Pretty much only when I charge or sync.

I keep my X51V in my front left pants/jeans pocket with nothing else in that pocket. If I wear a suit jacket I keep it in the left inside jacket pocket. My unit is never more than an arms reach from me (and I mean never).

Even in the shower ...

(note I didn't say bath because I often watch streaming videos whilst relaxing in the bath)

I this poll worded right? "Poll: is your Axim naked?" But the first response is "yes, i always use protection" - Seems like if the answer is 'Yes' it is naked, then there is no protection ....?

Or is my old age showing .... ?

No, I really did not mean to post this twice - I got the "Page could not be displayed" message, so I just closed out IE. But then I see two copies of my message. Oh well.
