Rhinoskin titanium case weight

Hi. I am looking for a case for my X50v, because the one included by Dell is in really bad shape right now.

Acccording to Innopocket's page the Magnum case weighs 71 g.

I sent an e-mail to Rhinoskin asking for the Titanium case weight and they replied it weighs 0.2 oz, which according to google's calculator is 5.6699 g. Is that value right? I don't use ounces, but 5.7 grams seems like too little.

Does anyone have the titanium case? How much does it weigh? Thanks.

hmm...not sure, but i'm assuming that magnesium is lighter...it has a much lower density than titanium

I have a Titanium RhinoSkin for my X5 and it weighs about 140 grams, fairly heavy. But it's easily the toughest case you can get. I'd highly recommend getting the X50 Titanium. You'll be glad the first time it falls.

Good Luck!

are you sure it wasn't .2 lbs? that sounds more correct (~91grams)

I like my innopocket magnesium case.

I guess he was really wrong. Anyway I think I'll buy the Innopocket magnum case, as it is MUCH cheaper, and still looks really good. Have you had any issues with scratches? I have read some comments about them scratching really easily, or the paint peeling off.

I quoted the weight of my X5 case, which is larger than the X50 case. 91 grams seems reasonable for the X50. My point was that the extra weight and durability of the Titanium was worth it to me.

Good luck with the Magnum case, but who ya gonna call when you have a problem?

I have the Magnum case and when I had a problem I called Innopocket. They mailed me a new case same day. Unlike most other companies, I did not have to send the old one back before they sent the replacement. The idea of leaving my Axim naked for a case turn around is just abhorrent.

Also, if you do scratch it, a black sharpie fills in the ding without notice. It took alot to get my first and only scratch. I dropped it in the parking lot onto pavement on my way to the movies. I was just trying to get the start time for the theater. Anyway, I am obsessive about my case looking professional and protecting my investment. Of course, my favorite part of the Magnum case is the flip top rather than book opening.
