International charger
Hello:

I just received an international charger kit (from Pocket Solutions) with various adaptors for Australia, Europe, UK etc. When I plugged the adaptor into the wall at home (Canada) and then into my Axim X51v, which I was using at the time the screen began to pulsate or flicker and did not seem to be charging at all. I noticed the unit says it puts out 1 amp, is this not enough power to charge and run at the same time (using wireless networking)? I would like to try plugging the charger in with the unit turned off to see if it will charge only, (which is the purpose of it anyway) before I return it a s faulty.

Is this a wise thing to try as the pulsating screen has made me a little nervous about trying.

Thanks for your help, this is a great resource.

why bothered with a PPC specific charger ???

why not just get a plug adapter ... as in ... for travelers who would like to use their hair dryer , shaver ...etc ...when travelled abroad ??

http://traveloasis.com/inadkit.html

that way .. you just plugged in whatever you are using currently to the plug adapter and it works like it always have been !!!

and about the output ... I believed you need atleast 2 A ( I could be wrong ) ... the DELL cradle charger output i 2410 mA .

the dell charger that came with your axim can be used anywhere in the world. All you have to do is get a plug converter (from north america to europe for example) which is inexpnsive. They are usually availabe at airports.
