(Stupid) Question about the Innopocket Magnum Case

ok...this may be a really stupid question (please don't laugh)

i have been pretty pleased with my magnum case thus far. yesterday, i had my first major drop, and fortunately, the case did its job! axim is still working

but...

the drop on the pavement scratched the side of the magnum case so the magnesium is now exposed, and the black covering was scratched off. ok, everyone in junior high school did this experiment in science class:

is my axim and case in danger of going up in flames if my scratched case is exposed to a flame?

i thought magnesium can burn at over 6000degrees under water... ?

I'm not a chemist, but I'm assuming here they're using a magnesium alloy in your case, not pure magnesium. In any event, mag wheels on cars don't tend to catch fire easily, so hopefully your case won't either.

There are likely other case owners with the same query -- why not ask the folks at Innopocket and see what they say? There aren't any stupid questions -- just stupid reasons not to ask :-)
