Any issues w/BT keyboard w/GPS and BT internet?
I couldn't use a BT headset, but wonder if a Dell Bluetooth keyboard will live and not have issues if I am using Bluetooth GPS and Verizon broadband internet through Bluetooth cellular phone. The GPS and internet are far more important than the keyboard but I would like all three. Headset wanted the GPS's com port. Needed the GPS more than a headset. Feedback or experience welcome. Thanks.

If the Bluetooth keyboard is something you can afford than I would definetly go with it. I had a Targus IR keyboard and it came in very handy. I only wish that Dell had put a IR Sensor on my Axim as now the keyboard is useless to me. I should try to sell it on ebay but how much could I really get for it. Anyway the BT keyboard is out of my price range so I went with the Belkin Snap and Type Keyboard for only $39.99. http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...duct_Id=261549 For the amount that I use the keyboard this type of input device with work great for me. Hope this helps.

Thanks, with BT so fussy, I hate to break what isn't broken by putting another BT device into the mix, besides the GPS and Internet by BT phone. Maybe I should get the IR keyboard and not take the chance.

Reading the excellent blog entry on the ThinkOutside latest drivers for their Bluetooth keyboard (same as the Dell keyboard), it appears that it works well with simultaneous use of other BT devices.

From http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/ind...pb=1#more48 2

...

If not for the inner bugfixes/small improvements, it may be worth upgrading if you use Bluetooth a lot for other purposes; particularly, if you connect to the Internet via Bluetooth (via, for example, a GPRS phone). Disconnections have always been a major problem with BT connections when you type very fast on the TO SA keyboards or keep pressing the Backspace button continuously. This problem is likely to come up particularly when the keyboard wakes up from the power save mode. The problem is seemingly less common with the new version. I've only managed to bring down the GPRS connection twice with massive input / deletions / waiting for the keyboard to hybernate itself and then, wake it up by starting to enter text very fast. BT disconnections may have been a bit more common with previous versions.

Thanks for that information. I use the BT internet connection 75% of the time via Verizon Broadband. It would be a pity to have the keyboard take down the internet connection, because that is where I would use it most. I was hoping to get a reply from someone that used BT via cell phone for Internet, and the BT keyboard. I do appreciate the response.
