Screen Protection
I was just wondering which products people use to protect their PDA screens while they are out of their cases.....and which ones they would recommend.

I use one with a sticky back for my Canon 5D DSLR. I have tried a none sticky one for my PSP but, to be quite honest, it was crap - kept sliding around and would never give me a clear screen.

Which products would you recommend?????

I have just got a Brando off Ebay in UK. Very impressed - you would not know it is there.

Don't know about the anti-glare though ( the Brando I have is not) - it might be worth it ( tried using it in the car yesterday when it was sunny and it was hard work reading the screen.) Downside is it must have an effect on the clarity of the screen in normal use?

Try a search - this is a very popular topic but nice to get some UK input as postage from the US can be prohibitive ( would love a Sena Case but it’s $19.99 to get it here!)

Welcome to Aximsite!

The popular high-end ones include Brando, Boxwave and Writeshields. I'm not sure about Writeshields, but both Boxwave and Brando have a slight tack on one side. They are also washable (restores tack) and reuseable. Screenguardz also has some supporters. The shiny ones give your screen a "naked" look but the non-glare ones are best suited for in-car use (i.e., for GPS).

Threads merged.

Like mentioned, this is a popular topic. You should be able to search and find an evenings worth of good reading material.

Personally I will never go without a screen protector, but I am also a heavy user. My prior PPC (which I had for three years) never had a screen protector. I looked horrible.

Can you get the above link? Because it should go directly to my review/comparison of the Anti Glare vs Crystal Clear Boxwave screen protector.

I would highly recommend that you purchase theinvisibleshield. They're only $13.95 with free shipping and free lifetime replacements should you ever actually need one. I've had one for my x50v and ipod nano for several months now. They're grrrreat!

Just thought to add my 2 cents. My old screen protector had a bad scratch (G3) so I decided to get an new screen protector a month ago. My critieria was that it must be: as clear as possible, does not insert into the edge around the screen (I messed up an LCD that way once), and must not use adhesives. After reading many of the posts on this forum, I decided to buy from Clarivue since they are the cheapeast non-adhesive protectors around. They provide 2 for $8. So far, no complaints. The screen is clear as crystal . BTW, Clarivue uses static interaction to keep it on the screen.

Brando or Boxwave however, I always use a screen protector.

Even Belkin if forced. Although, Belkin's screen protector does hold up.

I'm using an InvisibleShield. Visibility is excellent. The tactile elements of screen interaction definitely change though. Worth it for the protection and overall cost.
