Sd Card
Hi!

I'm going to buy an SD-card to my X51v. Don't understand why I didn't bought one at once.

Looking at 1 Gb SD from Sandisk. Is there any benefits (when used in X51v) of buying a faster one i.e. Ultra II or Ultra II+?

Is it betteher to by a CF-card?

/Andreas

I use both a 1GB SD card (that I share with a digital camera) so its the fast kind of SD card. It works well and find it useful to be able to take it out of the camera and transfer the pictures (even movies) to the CF card on the axim. I alsi use a 4GB CF card that is permanently on the axim where I carry pictures, music, movies (small), some applications, podcasts and data. i also works well and give me the capacity to take advantage of all of axim capabilities.

Bigger is better. If you ever start doing GPS you will want all the space you can get. I bought a 2 gig SD card for about the same price as a 1 gig. Look around and you will find a deal.

The speed won't matter very much, but I agree w/rsmith451 - the bigger the better. I also have sandisk. I have a 1g SD and a 4G CF. Neither are the superfast type, but there is no lag whatsoever.

Wha-?You can use CF and SD cards that are LARGER than 1GB? Are all four GB readable then in the X51V?

I currently have a 2GB SD and 2GB CF card in my Ax. I have found that the card only allows a certain number of folders to be created and then it will refuse to install anything else. Other than that, I've had no trouble at all.

I currently have a 1GB SD and a 2GB CF in mine. I was checking (for my camera) this week and it appears that the 2GB and 4BG CF cards are now the price point, in most cases costing less per MB than many 1GB cards.
