Think Outside BT Keyboard Issue
Sometimes when I bust out the keyboard for some note taking, I find that a few of my keys on the right side are non-responsive. On my keyboard it is often the U, K, and M keys. I'm replacing the batteries just in case but it doesn't seem to make sense. Anyone have any similar experiences?

My left shift button doesn't work properly too unless I push hard and wait a bit before pushing another key with it.

You might want to contact Think Outside and see if they'll replace it. I don't have any problem with either of mine. (I have two)

WOW, It's a strange thing. I have both TO BT Mouse and KeyBoard and have never experience any type os issue with none of them . I don't beleive it's a driver related problem, it must be hardware. Try contacting TO Support and let us know about your experience with them... it'll be a good thing to know about their customer support quality.

I read on their website that they had a problem with one of the factories, and all of the keyboards that came from that factory would wear out quickly. They will gladly replace your keyboard if it is messed up.

Well, since posting it has not done it again but this has happened at least a few times. I will initiate contact and see what they suggest. Thanks for the input. I'll post the results.

I noticed that too but it is both right and left shifts. Apparently if you stop typing for a short time (more than 10 seconds) then Bluetooth goes into some kind of 'idle' mode. To get it to reconnect, you need to hold the shift key down for over 1 full second.

This appears to apply only to key combinations (i.e. Shift + Letter, etc), but you can see it with any key - wait 20-30 seconds and then hit a lower case letter - it will be delayed for a second or two before actually showing up on screen.

It appears to be a limitation of the hardware

Wow, since the point of posting, it has become almost permanent. It was getting worse with every folding of the keyboard but now U, K, and M pretty much are toast. So now there is no option but to look for replacement with TO. Bummer but hopefully it'll work out. Do you think it will matter than I purchased through Expansys? Maybe I should just be contacting them?

With a support question into TO, they simply suggested that it was likely defective, to try the supplier I purchased from first if it was recent enough, and then to email sales at TO to return for a new replacement.

It's gone to TO and I should see a new one next week. Sweet.

OK, so it took just a little longer than I expected but I've got a new TO keyboard replacement and all it good in the world again!
