I'm planning to buy a keyboard for my x51v. I know bluetooth keyboard is much more expensive than IrDA keyboard. But what's the difference? I mean what's the advantages and disadvantages of them?
irda i believe requires u to slign the ports, while bluetooth just requires the keyboard to be near the device. bluetooth is the newer technology, i would recommend the bt keyboard =D plus it looks wierd when u have ur pda put away and still typing with a bt keyboard ;)
I also go for BT keyboard. (I have bought one on ebay, so waiting to arrive)
It is much more easy to use.

You can use it with any computer that has BT (IR is just for the devices they are made for You can not connect IR keyboard to PC).

I too would love a keyboard so need to ask if there is a particular make of BT that is recommended. Also, someone mentioned a 'Pocketop' or something like it; anyone about that, whether it's any good, BT or Irda?

The think outside keyboards get the best reviews. Dell's keyboard is made by think outside. BT is about 90-100 and Infrared is about 50-60 for the think outside brands. I have the BT and love it.
