Welcome to Aximsite!

There is no Axim that has built-in GSM/GPRS capability. However, if you purchase a model with a CF slot (e.g., X50 or X51 series), you can use a CF GSM/GPRS card to add this capability. Enfora and Audiovox make these cards.

Keep in mind that even with the GSM/GPRS card installed, your Axim will most likely not be a cell phone replacement since the battery is not designed to be always left on standby like cell phones. However, it is handy for data usage.

The standard battery that you get with the device doesn't last too long. Take a look at this review to get estimated battery times:

As far as I know, these cards are pretty expensive. I have never used them before so I can't tell you how well they work, but if you do a search you might find some opinions. If you end up getting a device running WM5, make sure WM5 drivers are available.
