I tried looking for information about this but couldn't find any. I just bought the Seidio g4500 car mount and so far I love it...except for one thing. It doesn't seem as though the DC out will power my globalsat bt338 gps receiver. I'm not really sure what the issue is.

Any help?

Call me crazy, but doesn't the g4500 have a built-in gps receiver? And if so, why do you want to power a different gps receiver?

no the 4500 doesn't have a built in gps the 4850 has the built in gps but both are powered mounts

correct. Tried a few things and tinkered a little but still no luck, any ideas? I have an e-mail in to tech. support as well but no reply yet.

here's another question, I ordered a sena case, will that fit into the seidio cradle?

I don't have that model, but the Seidio mount I've got (2500?) fits tight and won't allow any case to be used with it.

I have the 4850 with the integrated GPS and they are almost identical and it doesn't allow for any case. it is basically the same as the base charger you get with the unit except it has alittle bit extra height to keep it from falling out. I love mine just got it on saturday and have been using it none stop just to see if it's durable enough to hold the axim while going over bumps and it holds it pretty tightly, i've used it in portrait and landscape and it hasn't fallen out yet. as far as the out put is concerned i have no need for it since my gps is built into it, so i don't know much about it.

I wonder if i got a dremel tool to it if it will then fit with the sena case. Cause I really don't want to keep taking it out of the case.

you would have to remove alot of plastic before you could fit any case in it. the axim fits in it with no play what so ever. the mount was designed spcifically for the axim by itself.
