Hello everybody,

I have been looking for a leather holster case for carrying my axim IN its Magnum case. To make a long story short, I don't trust plastic belt clips. I have broke too many of them. There are a quite a few leather holster cases out there, but those I found were too expensive for my taste or were too short.

However, I found one that is very cheap, and big enough. I got it in the discount bin of my local Wal-Mart. It is the Intec case for the Nintendo DS. It is a little bit too long, but I put a 1 in. piece of foam at the bottom, and it is just perfect. The best thins is I got it for CAN$5. Its belt strap is quite sturdy, maybe a little tight, so I am not afraid of losing it somewhere.

As the link provided indicates, even without the discount, this case seems quite cheap, so people might be interested in this.

I have had it for three days now, and I am quite happy with it, so I recomment it to anybody who, like me, wishes a bigger holster case.

Good find.I very seldom wear my Axim on my belt but I use the $.97 Targus camera case from Wal Mart when I do.My X30H inside a PDair case fits perfectly in this case.

Until I found this case, I also used the Targus case. However, I wear mine all day long, everyday. I go through about 1 Targus Case every two months (eventually, the bottom seam always rips open). It's not that bad, considering it costs about CAN$1,99. I would have went on buying those if I had not found the Intec case.

Getting leather instead for only $3 more was the killer argument for me.

Can't compete on price of $5, but if you want a sturdy case that really protects - like having no problem with dropping onto floor from your belt - I found that the Targus, stiff leather case I got for $25 has more than paid for itself. I've had it nearly 5 years & it's still functioning perfectly. No the math is correct - I first bought it for my Palm Platinum pda in June 2001. My X50v is a just a tad loose inside but it has excellent protection. The leather covered steel belt clip is strong & does its job - I only drop the case when I've taken it off my belt. You might find a second hand Targus case too, which would be even better value.

Thanks for the tip Xlimey78. However, like I mentioned, protection is not a priority for me since I have my Magnum case, which IMHO, is the best protection-wise.

My objective was to find a cheap and dependable holster case to carry my X50v IN its Magnum case.
