Sena normal case, will it work with 1800mAh battery from Mugen?
I'm looking at getting either a 2200mAh battery or a Mugen 1800mAh battery. I want to know if the 1800mAh will work with the normal leather cases from Sena, or if it needs the extended battery version. The review of the Mugen 1800mAh says it will fit in all normal leather cases, but I just want to be sure. Thanks a lot guys!

It will fit as Gigi said in her review. The 2200 will not as it is too thick

It definitely fits; I'm using it with my Sena right now!

It fits fine in the Sena, and it fits fine with the Vaja too. Would definitely recommend the Mugen 1800 with either.

Is there a tiny case I can carry the 1100mAh battery in that comes with the Axim? Will it fit in a Sena pocket, or is it too thick? I want to carry it in my pocket as a spare, but I don't want to damage the contacts.

My standard Sena case arrived yesterday and I too can confirm that an Axim X51v fitted with an 1800mAh battery will fit without any issues.

GoldenTIger, 1100mAh is too thick to put in the Sena pocket. I just put extra batteries in one of those shoe shining mitts you get from hotels then into some kind of small case (e.g., for digital cameras) or a mint tin.

Thanks Gigi! I guess in my backwards way of thinking I was looking for a review of the Sena case that you had done. I found a review but it was by Cheryl. After using an X5 for 3 years I must say I am somewhat disappointed with the battery life on my new X51v that I just got this week. All in all though I really like it. I haven't used it a lot because I'm waiting on my screen protector to arrive. With my X5 I never used anything but the included Dell case. I liked holding it without a case. Not sure what I am going to do about my X51v. I don't like the case Dell included. I'm leaning toward the Sena case but if I don't get that I would like a case that allows me to easily remove my Axim. Any advice?

Randy

Randy, any slipcase in general should be quite easy to remove, since it is designed for that. Have you checked out the cases thread here:

http://www.aximsite.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=112

Personally, I'm very happy with my Sena, and it's been over a year since I got it. You can use it in the cradle so you never have to remove it from the case. The leather is still in excellent condition and the fit is as snug as it was before, even after using the slightly larger 1800 battery.

This might be just slightly off topic, but I just ordered the Sena extra capacity case for my new 2200 batteries.

Has anyone gotten this case for their 2200 batteries? If so, how does it fit?

I'm asking, because the description said it would fit both the 2200 and 3200 batteries. My concern is that the case won't fit snugly if it is also made to fit the 3200 batteries as well.

Any comments?

thanks
