If it a hard case, probably not. If it is leather, maybe. I don't have these items, but I was able to squeeze my Axim X30 with a high-capacity battery into a Belkin leather case. It can't fit into a RhinoSkin case with a high-capacity battery. However, you have to be careful that it is securely in the leather case because mine fell out and damaged its edge.

Whoops, I think I misread your question. My Axim can fit into the cradle with a third-party Hi-Cap battery. The Hi-Cap battery can also fit into the extra battery charging slot. As for having the case on it, no. If the cradle is similar to the charging base of the Axim X30, you have to take it out of the case. Besides, there are many different types of cases; Dell cannot make a charger base that fits all of them.

If it is the flip case, then yes it will fit into the cradle. I have an X50v with the extended battery and the Sena flip case, and it will fit in the cradle with no problem.

It does say it will sync via cradle, but does that mean only when a normal battery is inserted?

I have a X50V with the 2200 mah battery and the Sena flip case and it fits into the cradle no problem.
