What BT headset can I use with the hacked Widcomm stack?

Hey,

Sorry if this seems lazy but its frustrating trying to sift through all the posts on the other threads. Can anyone tell me is it possible to use a BT headset (thats microphone as well as earphones btw) with the hacked Widcomm stack? If so is it stable and what devices does it support?

Solsie has not tested out the HSP (Headset Profile) or HFP (Hands-free Profile), he has only tested out the A2DP. In otherwords he's only used it as earphones, he has not used it as a handsfree headset.

Has anyone got a headset working fully (HFP/HSP/A2DP/AVRCP) with the widcomm stack? I am willing to make a contribution for all the effort that has gone into hacking this stack but only if I can use it with a headset. Prefably this one: http://www.bluetake.com/products/BT420Rx.htm :)

the current widcomm patch is at v.37, HFP/HSP dun work on 51v.
seems HFP/HSP works on some 50v.

Will just have to wait for them (MikelSpikel and Beemer) to come out with the newer version......

I liked this iTake model too but since I wear glassess, its troublesome so I went with the Plantronics Pulsar 590A...

Hi Ethan,

I presume you will be using the Headset/Handsfree service with the 590A?

I have read elsewhere that this only gives a mono output, and not high qualilty stereo. I have just bought a 590A and it won't connect with A2DP (High Quality audio).

Is that what you have found too?

Thanks
John
