Waterproof case, other than OtterBox
OK, I know OtterBox makes a great case but they seem so bulky. I'm looking for protection for my x51v when at the beach or camping. I am always with my dog so I usually get wet and often have one hand on his leash. I always have pockets so carrying is not an issue. I do not do hard hiking just easy day hikes so I have not been as concerned about the protection offered by the OtterBox.
I have found these
http://www.aquapac.net/usstore/erol.html#home
http://www.gomadic.com/wpb-morepictures.html
Does anyone have any experience with either one and what do you think? Are there others I did not find?
Should I reconsider the OtterBox 2600?
Suggestions please.

I'm currently using the OtterBox 1900 and it feels like a great device. IMHO if you are around/near water, consider an OtterBox. While the Gomadic case does float, the OtterBox provides an insane amount of protection. With it you will never have to worry about drops, bumps, liquids, or semi's running it over again. My suggestion is if you have the $, consider the Otterbox. Otherwise a plastic baggy would work for water prevention. (Get one of those ultra tough slide zip kind and make sure it's waterproof.

I have both of these, as well as an OtterBox. The OtterBox is a tank. It protects you PPC very well, but does add considerable bulk. The other "ziploc's on steroids" add very little bulk, but offer no protection. I switch them up and use the one that best fits what I'm doing. They all make it more difficult to see and use the screen, but if you're going to the beach, fishing, etc...the benefit far outways not having one. I haven't used any of them under water.

OK maybe I do want an OtterBox will 1800mAh battery fit?
Thank all of you for your comments. I did think about a ziplock bag but it would be slippery.
I did not get any comments comparing the AquaPac and the Gomadic.
I was hopping for something that cost less the $100 for the OtterBox 1900 but I do like the idea of being able to charge my x51v while it is in the case and protection if I drop it on a rocky beach.
I use a 1800 mAh Mugen battery. Looking at the specs for the 1900 max thickness is 23.5mm, The Dell site says the x51v is 16.9mm high, the Mugen says it adds 2.3mm which would put the total to 19.2mm.
Do any of you use your OtterBox 1900 with a 51 or I gess 50 Axium and a 1800 Mugen battery?

Do you use a vehicle mount with the OtterBox? If so what one?

No I do not use a vehicle mount. The strap on the back is sufficient for sticking on to anything.
When I'm using it for in car GPS i use the Arkon mount.

Thanks darkdestroyer
I have been using an Arkon windshield mount for my in car GPS. I am hoping to be able to adapt it to use with the 1900. Sometimes I am going from place to place and need the navigation working, will jump out, well I don't really jump much anymore , walk on the beach or in the forest, get back in the car for another stop.
I'm a lucky person!:celebrate

Yeah no problem. The 1900 fit's the Arkon mount if you get a little creative... Remember that the strap's on the back are elastic so they can hold on to quite a bit of things (bike handlebars, boat railings, utility belt, etc etc)
