You can still get the dell exec. keyboard from places like ebay and it will work very great. You could also jus go straight to Think Outside and getthe keyboard. The Dell Exec keyboard is the exact same thing, but has a little different labeling and coloring to it.

I disagree. The Dell Executive is model Specific and there are just 2 versions: The one compatible with the x50 series and the one compatible with the X30. They won't work with anything else. In the other hand the TO Stowaway BT Kb will work with anything! even a desktop computer. You won't have the pda you have right now forever, you know... why would you want to have to get rid of the whole set when you can only change just the pda and keep your gadgets?

The Dell Executive BLUETOOTH keyboard is the same as the TO one, but not their standard ones.

What's de difference then, the drivers? Why are there on ebay some auctions that say that the KB they sell only works with X30s, and the ones on the dell page are only validated for x51s?

I have one for my X51v. It works with all my bluetooth devices (well, OK, I only have one other than my Ax, namely a generic USB bluetooth adapter). It is great. The lack of a seperate number row takes a bit to get used to, but for me it wasn't too long. I would highly reccomend it. I think you could still get from Dell for the X51, not sure though.

Is this the dell executive keyboard?
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Dell-foldabl...QQcmdZViewItem

Anyway, if its not, what do you guys think about this thing? I know its model specific, but at only $15 with $7 shipping, its not a bad buy.

No, not the BT one we are talking about. It will work with the x5 though.

Bluetooth executive keyboard
I have used the BT executive keyboard before. I bought it last year from Dell when I bought my X50v. It worked great back then.

Then I upgraded to WM5 and a couple of my applications stopped working. One of them being the keyboard.

I put the keyboard aside until I could figure out how to fix the problem. I am guessing it wasn't WM5 compatible. Maybe now someone has an upgrade for it, somewhere.

It works perfectly fine with my X51v (obviously WM5). Under both MS stack and Widcomm. Although its software is sort of a seperate stack.

I have heard of Widcomm, I will have to figure out what that is and how it can benefit me, my WXP, X50v, keyboard, and so on.

Your X50v already has the Widcomm stack. Unless you were foolish and "upgraded" to WM5.

I must be foolish then, cause I did upgrade. Maybe I should think about downgrading to get widcomm back.
