Aftemarket Sync Cable Stink?

Hello all! Anybody have an answer for ActiveSync suddenly not wanting to Sync up?

I ordered my Axim but apparently the cradle is on back order. They don't know how long it will be untill I get one.

A friend of mine let me use his Cradle untill an aftermarket sync cable came in the mail. It worked a few times and now it doest recognize my axim regardless of what I do.

Any body with the similar experiences?

Make sure that your USB port didn't shut down or become disabled.

My Dell D600 laptop gets this sometimes. I go into the device manager, delete all the USB devices then select "Scan for hardware changes". That re-installs the USB drivers and I can then sync again with the Axim.

Is your friend's cradle an original Dell Axim cradle?

I ordered the sync/charge cable from Dell when I ordered my X51V. I use it every morning with my notebook. I use the cradle to charge my extra battery and when my notebook is in its desktop dock station. The only issue I have ever had with eithor parts was the 'Fire Wall' issue. Once that issue was resolved by going to the MS5 web site on 'Fire Wall' isses all has been fine.
