Using Bluetooth Headphone
I would like to ask whether it is possible to use the same bluetooth (BT) headphone to:
1) Listen to music played by X51 AND
2) Talk to another mobile phone when needed

Actually, I have a Sony mobile phone, a X51 and would like to find a BT headphone that can communicate with the PDA and the phone. Of course, it would be great if I can send a phone number from X51 to the phone to dial as well.

Thanks,
Jason

Talk to another phone, I don't think so, but the others, yes.

I'm using Jabra BT620s headphones with my Motorola Phone and with my X50v, works great with both, haven't tried it with the X51v, will try it tonight to see if it works. When a call comes in it actually switches to the phone then back to the X50v when the call is completed. Does stereo with your PC also.

One caution however, many phones and PCs do not have the proper protocol to work with this headset. Check that out first.

Take Care,
Jim

Ask Plantronics if their Pulsar 590A will do it. I wouldn't be surprised if it would. (I own a 590, but do not have a bluetooth phone - but I have a coworker who does. As soon as I have some time, I'll test it out.)

Oh, I forgot to mention, my PDA is x50v, so my test will not fully apply, but I'm still interested in knowing - my next phone will have BT.

Hi,

I can confirm the Plantronics to do just that. I have installed the BroadComm bluetooth stack on my X51v and I'm using a Nokia N70 phone - works perfectly. About the transferring phone-numbers from contacts to the phone and dialing - think I have a small plugin that would just that also.

the ht820 will definitely do all you ask (and with AVRCP.. it'll even pause your music when you answer your call... how thoughtfull of it).

Does the HT 820 work well with the Axim x50v? Are all of the drivers required to play MP3's over Bluetooth already installed or is there a software patch required to install A2DP?

The plantronics Pulsar 590A works connected to the phone and PDA.

I am using the X51V and Benq-Siemens S88. When a phonecall comes in, the music will pause and you can pick up your call.

One thing though, even if a product says it has A2DP. Get confirmation that it works with the brand of your BT headphones you own or intendin to own. This is becuase though my S88 supports A2DP, it doesn't work with my Plantronics for music...
