Cheap Axim Car Holder <$10

So I was going to buy a ProClip holder for my 2005 Grand Prix, but it was going to cost about ~$65 and I thought it was still a little pricey and I thought the mount location was to low. So I hunted online and found some $20 holders with shipping but I wasn't sure of the quality. So I went to Best Buy, Office Depot, Staples, and didn't see anything. Went to Target and found a cheap one. Not greatest quality but it serves its purpose.
Cost $7.00

Yup, you can rotate it (using the round vent)

Just the holder:

Good find. I am all about cheap or as I like to say "cost efficient". I have tried a couple of low cost mounts and they work fine. The only advatage I see with the powered mounts is to have the built in speakers when using my GPS. The X50V jsut does not have the omph to get loud enough over the radio and the background talking......

I think it looks great! Can't really tell the difference between these and the higher priced mounts at all. :approve:

Much better than my $1 cheapskate mount. Still can't beat the cheapskate on price, but the leap in quality here easily justifies the extra $6. (link to "Tips from the Trenches" in my sig)

It has two metal clips that slide over the vent, between the thickness of the vent and the metal clips, I think i would have to roll the car before it would fall off.
No hook though

Radioshack has the 90 deg angle audio tip adapter!

BTW, the difference with this solution and Proclip (don't buy the one for Axim, get the adjustable one for iPod)
1-Rattling on bumpy road (especially if you use Microdrive)...
2-Can not adjust viewing angle (avoid glare)

Tip: I bought the Globalsat BT receiver and no longer need to connect the audio cable to my Axim.
