Do We Really Have Faith in the Pelican 12V Adaptor?

I have located a Pelican model PL6003 12v car power adaptor at Radio Shack for a mere $5. Having read posts about it, it seems to be a winner.
Are there any 'nays' before I plug it into my Axim to see if it works?

Let us know if it works. That's a great price. Heck, let us know if it fries your Axim. Good luck!

I've been using one for about ten days. My axim is still ok, so far. It does not fit as tight as the dell wall adaper. One of my friend got one after I told him about it. He tried his once, and it worked fine too.

The link above is about Pelican Powerbrick, which contains a battery. What the OP refers to is the 6003 12v cigarette lighter adapter to charge the Axim battery. They are two different products.

BTW, I have been using the 6003 (two of them, purchased from Radio Shack and Wal-mart respectively) on and off in the past month or so, haven't had any problem so far.
