Where can I get extension connecting cradle with Axim when using magnesium innopocket

hi, I know there are some people who 'sand' the cradle such that they could connect axim x51 to cradle while the pda is still inside the magnesium innopocket case. I was thinking perhaps of investing in some adaptor to do that. Does such thing exist? Any brighter ideas, people? Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

I'm pretty new, but I've not heard of such a thing. I have the innopocket case too, and I think its pretty easy to take my x51 out, let it charge or sync, and then put it back in when I leave. You could also just use the power adaptor plug to charge (the little plug that should have come with the Axim), and sync via IR (though slow) or Bluetooth (stupid MS took out the WiFi sync...), and then you wouldn't even need the cradle, and could leave the Axim in the case.

But if anyone knows more about a solution, I'd also be interested in hearing about it too.

The simplest way is to use a sync cable. I goes from your computer's USB connector right to the Axim connector. You don't even need the cradle at all. Now, if you need it to charge the axim, you have to be patient because USB charging is very slow.

I, myself, have bought a VGA output cable from Chrismax (search for this member's posts). It has VGA output, sync capabilities and charging with thepower adaptor. for about $20, it's a great deal.

Seems to be a bit of a waste not to use the cradle though.

Well, it is a kind of waste not using cradle. But it is bulky, very big.

You may check below.

This cable has DC plug for charging, VGA output, USB port to sync with computer. And it is only $17. Wny not ?

You may check it at EBay VGA Presentation cable for Dell Axim X51V X50V

It is a very good cable and most important of all is that it is cheapest and best quality.

IT is, but unfortunately, you can't have everything.

You have to choose between a good looking cradle and (maybe) the best protection you can get for your Axim. If you don't mind taking the Axim out of its case everytime you want to use the cradle, go ahead. Personally, I think it kind of defeats the purpose of the case.

If protection is important, you leave the Axim in the case and use a sync cable, which is not a good looking. However, the Cable is much easier to carry around.

If you absolutely want to keep the case and use the cradle, you must get a Sena case.

All in all, if you worry about wafety and don't want to spend too much, keep your Magnum case and spend $20 on a sync cable with AC capability. That's what I did, and I don't regret a think.

It is still a big shame not to use the cradle. Besides the cradle charges the extra battery I have inside. ..
