Pr-2310

Got the PR-2310 in the mail today. It's all charged up and ready to go. I was surfing the web for a couple hours on my X51v today, so the batteries around 55%. It's turned on and I'm getting ready to plug it in...

Bam! No flickering! The screen brightens up the way it should and the axim recognizes it's charging.

So the ~$93 battery pack does what it's supposed to do. I'm thinking the smaller battery pack for the PSP isn't cranking out enough amps. Oh well, I'm sure I'll find some use for it.

I was looking at the Tekkeon packs. I like the form factor better, but I'm still wary of buying Li-Poly batteries because of their limited number of charging cycles. I'll stick to the Li-Ions until the Li-Poly technology gets better. I like keeping my batteries topped off and Li-Polys don't last long doing that. As for the larger battery size, 36 Wh versus 40 Wh isn't going to lose me any sleep... although, had I ordered a Tekkeon, I'd probably pick up the bigger 56Wh one.

Global Batteries

I have been using this external battery with great results and the price is right!

$28.61 US includes all sorts of adaptors, and lets you select voltage.

This charges my X51V with NO flicker even if the battery is less than 10%!

I looked at this battery pack, then was looking around their web page and saw this other (seemingly identical) battery pack. The only difference between the two I could find is that the second one is listed in the description as being silver and the first one is listed as metallic grey. Oh, and the silver one is $10 more?!?!

Does this pack come with the proper plug to user with the X50/51V? I called Global, and they said they weren't sure it had the right plug or what plug an Axim would require.

Does anyone know what size the plug in the Dell Axim is? I suppose I could always pick one up at Radio Shack.

I think it's the 4.0 x 1.7 mm coaxial DC power plug.
