i want to ask if anyone has the Phillips VOX340 bluetooth earbuds and if they are worth the $$ or not. i prefer the earbud vs the around the neck becuase they are discreet.
Just an quick question... how can people wear those things? They hurt my ears to no end and I can never keep them in. </rant>
I agree ... I went through many pairs of that style for my iPod, they all hurt ...settled in on in-ear type (Shure e2c) that feel so much better and sound great too, not cheap though but worth it.
I don't know, they fit nice and snug inside the ear area, I like the over the ear cord design and the cord is long enough and very solid .... You can get black now for the E2C's, I have the clear and they do look sorta like some hearing aid device. I must say, once you get the fit right (the correct sleeve) they are comfortable (stay in for hours) and sound excellent, including good bass. Once I got over the sticker shock and and SO glad I got them.
I just ordered these from TigerDirect.com for $19.99. Not sure how they work, but the price is nice, even if they only work for MP3. I'll know for sure in 3-5 days.

The Sure In-Ear earbuds are designed for profesional musicians to where on stage while performing so they can hear the monitor mix, and get the protection of an ear plug. They are that tranparent or flesh color so they are less noticable to the audiance.
Koss makes some inexpensive nice in-ear type earbuds called "The Plug". They are like an earplug combined with an earbud. I have a few pair they are great. I use them when Im mixing music on my laptop. They keep background noise out so if your on a plane or in a car they keep a lot of the outside noise out. I used to use them onstage when I played with my band. That way my ears were safe from instruments like drums and screamign guitars, but at the smae time I could hear a good clear monitor mix. :approve:
I too am an earbuds fan so am very curious to know what you guys think of the ones available. I've tried the behind the head BT stereo headphones (e.g., Logitech Ipod ones) but find them bulky and a bit heavy for prolonged use. Yes, the BT earbuds do have wires (in order to connect to the receiver), but at least they are light weight and you are not tethered to the device anymore.
slowjett, just curious...what sound card do you use on your laptop for your music mixing, etc.?

No they aren't, these are consumer level, shures lowest. The pro's use custom made ones that are molded to their ear and are flesh color. They cost close to $1000, Shure might mimick the stlye but aren't even close to what you describe, either are their $500 pair.
