Is there a battery charger that can recharge the battery without the Dell Axim? Like the cradle that came with Dell, but less bulky and can be taken along a trip.

See, I have a spare battery for my Dell Axim x50v, and I was thinking, if I use up both batteries during the day, I cannot recharge both during the night with just a sync cable (unless wake up in the middle of the night and change the battery in the Axim).

I have searched the forum, and I couldn't find any information. It seems when people talk about travel charger kit, they are only talking about charge cables.

Any info is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I searched google with "universal battery charger axim" before and google returned a list of charger that charges camera batteries.

I was expecting some kind of universal charger with adaptors like those for different kind of camera batteries, and I wasn't expecting anything like the one you link. Thanks.

.... maybe I can find one that can discharge the battery also, that way I can condition the Lithium-ION battery correctly then.... I think I read somewhere that we are supposed to condition the batteries every once in awhile.

The link he gave shows a universal charger that you could use. And he didn't use "axim" to search. I don't think there's a dedicated charger that will work with the Axim battery.

And you don't have to condition your Li-ion battery. Once, you may want to discharge it and fully recharge it, to calibrate the battery meter. Then again every 6 months or so. Li-ion chemistry doesn't need conditioning. As a matter of fact, even NiCad batteries don't need conditioning any more.
